Obituary of Mary J. Baumann

Mary Jones Baumann died unexpectedly in her home on Wednesday, November 11, 2009. Mary had a warm and caring heart. She touched people in many special ways and always brought out the best in the people she met. Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Her smile and laughter will be missed by all.Born on March 15, 1951 in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of George Jones and the late Eleanor Jones. Mary spent many happy childhood years growing up in Wisconsin with her sisters Cindy, Julie and younger brother Jay. She was the loving wife of nine years to the late Ed Baumann. Ed and Mary enjoyed golf, fishing, travel, old movies and long talks. Mary cherished her family and was very proud of her three sons, Michael LaMotte (Bar Harbor, ME), Mark LaMotte (Bar Harbor, ME) and Christopher LaMotte (Hancock, ME). Surviving in addition to her three sons, sisters, brother and father; are her daughter-in-law, Rebecca, grandchildren Wyatt and Natalie (Hancock, ME) and her loving Samoyed, Moya. Most recently, Mary had received her Associate Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. She had just a few classes left to receive her teaching certificate. Mary was looking forward to selling her house and moving up to Maine to be closer to her sons and grandchildren. It was Mary's dream to use her special gifts to teach and tutor children. Mary will forever remain in our hearts.Mary was a member of St John Neumann Church, 398 Co Hwy 513 in Califon. A Catholic Mass will be held Tuesday, November 17th at 11:00AM followed by a gathering at the church.
