Obituary of Richard H. Philp
Richard H. Philp, age 87, of Lebanon Boro, formerly of Gillette, NJ, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Green Knoll Care and Rehabilitation Center in Bridgewater, NJ.Mr. Philp was born June 25, 1922 in Newark, NJ. He was the son of the late Alexander C. and the late Millicent (Hedden) Philp. He grew up in Millburn, NJ and after graduating Millburn High School, he joined the Air Force during WW II. He raised his family in Gillette, where he resided for almost 50 years. He has been living in Lebanon Boro for the past 7 years. He enjoyed carpentry and his dogs: Dukie, Snoodles, Sneakers, Jessie and Daisy.He is survived by his wife of 43 Years: Carol (Coffey) Philp; his son: Stephen Philp and his wife Sheila of Portsmouth, NH; his daughter: Susan Bivona and her husband, Patrick of Lebanon Boro; his grandchildren: Pippi McNally of Greenland, NH and Spencer Philp of Newport, RI; his great granddaughter: Madigan McNally of Greenland, NH; His brother: Alan B. Philp and his wife, Virginia of Richboro, Pa.Mr. Philp was pre-deceased by his first wife, Margaret (Peggy), his son, Richard H. Philp Jr.; his daughter, Bonnie Trau; his sister Millicent Dawson and his brothers: Alex and Emory Philp. Funeral Services will be conducted privately by the family.
