Obituary of Henry Pitera

Henry Pitera - age 83, of Clinton Twp., NJ died Tuesday, April 28, 2009 in Philadelphia, Pa. Mr. Pitera was born June 15, 1925 in Elizabeth, NJ the son of the late Stanislaw and the late Eleanor (nee Orzechowska) Pitera. He served in the United States Navy during WWII from 1943-1947. Mr. Pitera was a Director of Safety & Training for the Pitt-Consol Company in Newark, NJ for many years before retiring. More recently, Henry was employed as a Security Officer by Securitas Security Services in Clinton, NJ. He resided in Clinton Twp. NJ for the past 45 years and previous to that, he lived in Elizabeth, NJ.He is survived by his beloved Wife of 59 years, Dolores (nee Haughwout), his Daughter, Deborah Lukens of Flemington, NJ, his Sons; Henry Pitera Jr. of Woodbridge, Va. and Richard Pitera of Easton, Pa. Additional survivors include his cherished Grandchildren: Henry, Sabrina, Christopher, Matthew, Adriane & Amanda and his Great Grandson, Marek. Mr. Pitera was pre-deceased by his Brother, Matthew and his Sister, Helen.Visiting Hours will be on Saturday, May 2nd from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a Funeral Service on Saturday May 2nd at 12:00 pm also at Funeral Home. The Entombment will take place at the New Immaculate Conception Mausoleum , Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ (Clinton Twp.) immediately following the service.
