Obituary of Allan D. MacIlroy

Allan D. MacIlroy, "Beloved Son, Brother & Uncle" - age 51, of Clinton, NJ passed away at the home of his Sister, Cathy Fitzsimmons, in Pittstown, NJ on Sunday, November 30, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. MacIlroy was born January 19, 1957 in Somerville, NJ. He was the son of the late John MacIlroy and Helen (nee Bricks) Woomer. He lived in Pittstown, NJ before moving to Clinton, NJ 3 years ago. Allan was an Engineering Manager for AMI in North Branch, NJ. He was a Champion pool player in Hunterdon County. He also was a great tennis player and enjoyed bicycling. Allan loved playing cards with his friends and family. He had a terrific sense of humor and he was kind & gracious to everyone. Allan's favorite pastime was weightlifting and he also kept healthy & fit by eating organic foods. He is survived by: his mother and step-father: Helen & Dart Woomer of Bound Brook, NJ, his brother, Donald MacIlroy of Plainfield, NJ; his sisters: Donna Ochs of Roebling, NJ, Carol MacIlroy of Winston Salem, NC, Patricia DiLello of Bloomsbury, NJ, and Cathy Fitzsimmons of Pittstown, NJ . In addition, he was also survived by several cherished Nieces and Nephews. He was predeceased by his father, John MacIlroy in 1994Visiting Hours will be on Wednesday, December 3rd from 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Rt. 31 in Clinton, NJ.
