Obituary of Mary Louise Thornton

Mary Louise Thornton, age 86, died Monday, September 15, 2008 at her residence at the Moravian Hall Square in Nazareth, Pa. Mrs. Thornton was born January 18, 1922 in Clinton, NJ the daughter of the late Frank and the late Ruth (nee Butler) Starnar. She graduated Clinton High School and then graduated the College of New Jersey with a degree in Education. She was employed by the Clinton Township Public School System as an Elementary School Teacher for many years before retiring. Mrs. Thornton was a member of the Clinton Presbyterian Church for more than 73 years. As a longtime and active member of the Church she was a former Deacon, an Elder, a Sunday School Teacher and a Clerk of Session. In addition, she was a member of the Presbyterian Womens Club and the Clinton Women's Club. Mary Louise is survived by her beloved Husband of 10 years: Elwood Thornton and she was pre-deceased by her Sister, Janice in 1998 There will be a Funeral Service on Saturday, September 20th at 11:00 am at the Clinton Presbyterian Church, 91 Center Street, Clinton, NJ 08809 - #908-735-5029 or www.clintonpresbyterian.net ** Family & Friends are invited to meet DIRECTLY at the Church on Saturday morning.
