Obituary of Eleanor C. Walker

Eleanor C. Walker, 76 passed away Sunday, April 6th, 2008 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ with her family by her side. Born in Somerville, NJ on October 8th, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Beulah Hendershot. She lived in Pittstown, NJ before returning back to Hampton, NJ in 2006. Mrs. Walker was a homemaker who had a love for animals, gardening and attending the Flemington Agriculture Fair. Eleanor was pre-deceased by her daughter Kathryn May Walker in 2001, three infant children; Earl Jr. Skip, Andy and Sarah, brothers and sisters, Benjamin Mike Hendershot, John Hendershot, Harry Price, Dorothy Opdyke, Anna Wills and Jenny Handy. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Earl C. Walker, a son, Steven J. Walker of Hillsborough, NJ and his wife Linda. She is also survived by her brothers; Eugene Jim Hendershot of Broadway, NJ, her sisters; Helen Russo of Washington, NJ, Ruth Evans of Bangor, Pa., Sylvia Wills of Glen Gardner, NJ and many loving nieces & nephews. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 9th from 4:00 to 9:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ 08809 -- #908-735-7180. There will be a Funeral Service on Thursday, April 10th at 10:00 am also at the Funeral Home. The Interment will take place at the Evergreen Cemetery in Clinton, NJ immediately following the Service.
