Obituary of Florence O. DeLuca

Florence O. DeLuca, age 87, of Hackettstown, NJ, formerly of Hampton, NJ, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Hackettstown Hospital.  Florence was born on August 26, 1933, in Waterbury, CT, to the late Justino Orsatti and the late Ruth Gendall.

Flo attended Waterbury Catholic High School and met the love of her life, Frank DeLuca, while working at A.W. Hayden's in Waterbury, CT at a Christmas party. They married on May 8, 1954. Together they raised a beautiful family having three children; Debbie, Karen, and Mark.  Flo was very proud of her family and was delighted when she became a grandmother to 3 grandchildren and later to 2 great-grandchildren.  

Flo was full of energy and life.  She enjoyed cooking, sewing and bowling. One of her greatest accomplishments was bowling, a 252 game.  Flo also liked to search for treasures at yard sales and flea markets. Flo will be remembered for her kind heart and vivacious spirit.

Flo will be forever missed by her beloved husband, Frank DeLuca; daughters, Debbie (nee DeLuca) Fass and her husband Rich, and Karen (nee DeLuca) and her husband Chip; son, Mark DeLuca; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Raymond, Melissa Wallace and Eric Fass; 

2 great-grandchildren,  Kailey and Makenna Raymond; sister, Tina Scocchera; brother, Richard Orsatti; sister-in-law, Millie Desjardins; brother-in-law, Russ DeLuca and his wife Ann.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather with the family on Friday, April 23, 2021, from 

9:30 am until 11:00 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. All services will be held directly at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 2 Whitebridge Rd., Pittstown, NJ 08867. No services will be held at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the care of Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809, www.martinfh.com.
