Obituary of Joseph Francis Braski

Joseph "Joe" Francis Braski, age 76, of Union Township, New Jersey, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020, at home.  Born July 6, 1943, in Philadelphia, PA, Joe was the son of the late Francis (Frank) Andrew Braski and Anne(Kudzma) Braski (Barauskus).

In 1972, Joe received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Temple University. He worked as a business executive at Lucent Technologies until retirement.  Joe served 4 years as a specialist in the Army and served in the Coast Guard Auxiliary for many years teaching boating and piloting. He was the beloved husband to his wife, Carol.  Joe was a proud father of James and Matthew as well as a doting grandfather to Misha and Nadia.

Joe spent much of his time as a loving caregiver to his son Matt.  He enjoyed traveling and loved visiting the beach, especially Wildwood, NJ.  In his younger years, Joe loved to salt-water fish, detail his Cobia at Hinch Marina in Cape May and played accordion in the Aqua String Band the year they won first place (1960). His hobbies and interests of late included reading mystery novels and trips to Atlantic City.  He thoroughly enjoyedlistening to the Rat Pack, Polka, Oldies, and Country.   

Joe will be forever missed by his sons, James Braski and wife Andrea Foley-Braski, Matthew Braski; sister, Barbara Golas and her husband William; granddaughters, Misha Braski, and Nadia Braski.

Joe is predeceased by his parents, Francis and Anne Braski; wife, Carol Braski.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather with the family on Wednesday July 1, 2020 at 10:30 am at Saint Catherine of Siena Church, 2 White Bridge Road, Pittstown NJ 08867. A mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 am in the church. Inurnment will follow mass at the Immaculate Conception Mausoleum.
