Obituary of Nancy Engel

Nancy Engel, 94, passed away on January 10, 2020 Nancy was a lifelong resident of New Jersey.   She was born in Elizabeth to Lawrence and Irene Ryan on November 11, 1925.  Nancy lived in Plainfield, Fanwood, Brick Township and most recently in Belvidere.  She was a graduate of Georgian Court University in Lakewood, N.J.  She was known for her wonderful cooking and baking, quick wit and sense of humor, and movie trivia knowledge.

She was predeceased by her husband Leonard J. Engel.  She is survived by her son Lee of Charlotte, N.C. and daughter Mary Rowe (Don) of Clinton, N.J.; grandchildren Kim (Bryan), Tracy (Barry), Sydney, and Hunter; great-grandchildren Avery and Charlie. 

Relatives and friends may gather with the family on Monday, January 13, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Martin Funeral Home 1761 Route 31, Clinton, N.J.  A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2020,10:30 AM, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Scotch Plains, N.J. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church on the morning of the funeral. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.
