Obituary of Stephen L. Stern

Stephen L. Stern, age 69, Union Township, NJ (Hunterdon County) died Sunday, March 4, 2007 at home. Mr. Stern was born August 9, 1937 in Bakonyszentivan, Hungary the son of the late Anton and the late Gisela (nee Mader) Stern. He served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1963. Mr. Stern resided in Union Twp., NJ for the past 35 years and previous to that, he lived in Elizabeth, NJ. Stephen was an avid reader and enjoyed Traveling, Hiking, Skiing & Gardening. He was a Manufacturing Engineer employed by Siemens Hearing Instruments in Piscataway, NJ. Stephen is survived by his beloved Wife of 39 years: Edith(nee Birkeneder) Stern, his Daughter: Stephanie Cavitch of Hampton, NJ and his Son: Edward Stern of Lebanon, NJ. Additional survivors include his Brother, Anton Stern Jr. of Pheonix, AZ and his cherished Grandchildren, Sophia, Michael, Samuel and Henry Visiting Hours will be on Wednesday, March 7th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Funeral Home. There will be a Funeral Mass on Thursday, March 8th at 10:00 at Immaculate Conception RC Church, Annandale, NJ. The Funeral Home will open at 9:00 am on Thursday prior to the leaving for the Mass.
