Obituary of Nan E. Callan
Nan E. Callan, age 84, of Hampton died Thursday, November 30, 2006 at Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg. Nan was born August 24, 1922 in Lambertville, NJ, She was the daughter of the late Frank McCarthy and the late Myrtle Hughes McCarthy.
She has been living in Hampton for the past 54 years and was a Homemaker.
Mrs. Callan was an active member of St. Anns Church in Hampton where she belonged to the Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Legion of Mary. She was once a member of the PTA and was a Scout Leader in Hampton. Her hobbies included crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her beloved children: Patrick Callan and his Wife Jacqueline of Gales Ferry, Conn., Richard Callan and his Wife Mary of Smithfield, ME.; Nancy Fleming and her Husband Alan of Pattenburg, NJ, Noreen Hurford and her Husband David of Perryville, NJ ; Her Loving 7 Grandchildren : Patrick, Michael, Kristen, Anna, Molly, Colleen and Adria Her 2 dear Great-Grandchildren: Kimberley and Mark; Her sister: Jean Payton and Sister-in-law: Margaret McCarthy both of Lambertville. Pre-Deceased by her Husband Richard in 1989,and Her two brothers: John and Robert McCarthy.
Visiting hours will be Sunday, December 3rd from 6:00pm to 9:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 am at St. Ann's RC Church in Hampton.
Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery following the Funeral Mass.
