Obituary of Helen Thum Barrett

Helen T. Barrett, age 93, of Union Township, NJ died Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at her Daughters home in Doylestown, Pa. Ms. Barrett was born February 2, 1911 in Bayonne, NJ the daughter of the late Ernst and the late Anna (Bose) Thum. She was was a Homemaker and she also owned & operated the Milky Way Farm in Union Twp., NJ where she resided for 63 years. She was a member of the Union Township Historical Society and past President. She was a founding member of the Clinton Art Museum. Helen served as a plane spotter during WWII. She volunteered at the Salvation Army and the Hunterdon Medical Center. She was a Member of the Red Mill Museum Village in Clinton, NJ . She is survived by her Daughter: Patti Hoff of Doylestown, PA. and her Son, Herman Lazarus III of Arizona as well as her Sister, Elsa Lutz of Minnesota, 5 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren. There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, October 16th at 11:00 at Martin Funeral Home. All other services are private and at the convenience of the family.
