Obituary of Lois Benjamin Patane

Lois Benjamin Patane, age 46, of Lebanon Township, NJ died Friday, October 7th at her home. She was born May 8, 1959 in Newark, NJ the daughter of the late William J. and Frances (MacAvoy) Benjamin. She has been residing in Lebanon Twp., NJ since 1988. Lois worked as a Payroll Manager for NECA in Whippany, NJ before becoming a devoted homemaker and mother. She later worked as a School Aid and Volunteer for the Lebanon Twp. School District. She had an Associates degree in Accounting from County College of Morris and also attended William Patterson College. Mrs. Patane was parishioner at St. Anns Church in Hampton, NJ where she also served as Vice President of the Rosary Altar Society. She was past Planning Board Secretary for the town of Califon. She also was past Vice President of the PTA and was a Girl Scout Troop Leader. She enjoyed many crafts such as quilting, sewing and stained glass. She also enjoyed RV Traveling and Auto Racing. Lois is survived by her beloved Husband: Brian J. Patane, two Daughters: Allyson & Elizabeth, her Mother, Frances (MacAvoy) Benjamin, her Sisters, Eileen Gralski, Ann Brown, Mary Benjamin and her Grandmother, Lillian Benjamin. She was pre-deceased by her Father, William Benjamin. Visiting hours will be Monday, October 10th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a Funeral Mass also on Monday, October 10th at 1:00 pm at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 6 Church Street, Hampton, NJ. The interment will be in St. Ann's Cemetery following the mass.
