Obituary of William Patterson

William Patterson, 61, of Alexandria Twp., NJ died Saturday, September 24th , at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ with family and friends in prayer at his bedside. His kind hearted nature and sense of humor will be greatly missed by everyone his life has touched. As a loving husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Barbara, two sons, William Jr. and Daniel, two granddaughters, Jessica and Dakota, two grandsons, Eric and Evan, his mother Elfreda, two brothers, Jim and Norman and a sister, Audrey. He was a born leader and organizer. He was an Eagle Scout, graduated St. Peters College with a Bachelors Degree and retired after 37 years of service with the Port Authority of NY & NJ as a Maintenance Supervisor. He enjoyed spending countless hours with his wife Barbara. They enjoyed horseback riding, hiking, boating, RVing, the outdoors and traveling. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, September 27th from From 2:00 to 4:00 pm & from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a Church Service on Wednesday, September 28th at 10:30 am at the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, 2 Race Street, Pittstown, NJ 08867 (908)-735-5733. ** Family & Friends are invited to meet directly at the Church.** The family has extended an invitation to attend a reception at the church immediately following the service.
