Obituary of Frank A. Norman

Frank A. Norman, age 79, of Branchburg, NJ passed away quietly on Wednesday, September 21st at home with his family at his side. Mr. Norman was born September 9, 1926 in Somerville, NJ, the son of the late Frank A. and the late Hilda (Stroehecker) Norman. His family moved to Parksley, Va. where Frank lived until joining the Marine Corps and serving during WW II. After serving in China, he returned to New Jersey where he married Doris L. Darling . They settled in Branchburg in 1949. Frank was a partner in Hagon and Norman Inc. from 1958 through 1981 and President Of Overhead Door Company Of Central Jersey since 1972, where he remained active unit shortly before his death. He was a founding member of the Branchburg Rescue Squad and earned life membership. When his time permitted, he loved to boat, hunt and travel. He is survived by his second Wife: Edith A. (Patterson) Pearson, two Sons: Thomas E. Norman, & James A. Norman, one Granddaughter and two Nieces. Other close family members include two Step-Sons and two Step-Daughters, three Step-Sons and one Step-Granddaughter. He will be sadly missed by all of them. He was pre-deceased by his first Wife, Doris in 1992. Visiting hours will be Sunday, September 25th from From 2:00 to 4:00 pm & from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a Funeral Service on Monday, September 26th at 10:00 am at Clinton United Methodist Church, 12 Halstead Street, Clinton, NJ 08809 - (908)-735-7025. Family & Friends are invited to meet directly at the church. Interment with Military Honors will be in Readington Reformed Church Cemetery, 124 Readington Road, Readington Twp., NJ. Following the interment, the family is extending an invitation to join them back at the Clinton United Methodist Church for refreshments.
