Michael's wife, Pat,has been my friend since we were both born. When Pat married Michael, I saw how happy he made her. They would visit my husband and I in Connecticut every Christmas Eve on the way to Pat's family's house. My husband and I looked forward to this visit every year. I especially loved to practice verbal jabs with Michael. We would get such a kick out of the banter. It was always a day of laughter and friendship. We will certainly miss him. We moved to Florida and when Pat and Mike visited, they decided to move down too. I so looked forward to spending more time with them. Pat and I thought, we grew up together and now would grow old together. I guess God had other plans and need Michael more than we did.
My sincerest condolences go out to Pat and Michael's family. He was a good man and will be sadly missed by many. My only regret was that I could not make it to the funeral but I was there in my thoughts and heart.
