Obituary of Jean A. Haley
Jean A. Haley, age 80, of Basking Ridge died Friday, May 5, 2006 at Holly Manor in Mendham.
Mrs. Haley was born April 1, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY. She was the daughter of the late Richard and the late Anna (Windhurst) Simpson. Mrs. Haley has been living in the Basking Ridge area for over 40 years. She also resided in Whitehouse Station for 20 years.
She was a retired Data Entry Operator.
Mrs. Haley was a resident of Ridge Oak in Basking Ridge, where she chaired many fund raising activities. An avid knitter, she was a member of the Happy Hookers Knitting Club. She also worked as a volunteer for Bonnie Brae, a residential treatment center for boys, located in Liberty Corner, NJ.
She is survived by three beloved daughters: Carol Haley of New York, NY, Eileen Smith and her husband Ed of Asbury, NJ, Ruth Harris and her husband Jeff of Harlingen, TX ; her dear Sister: Grayce Cortright & her Husband, Al of Michigan; Her loving Granchildren: Carl Brunell and his Wife Clare, the Late Scott Brunell, Amelia and Sean Harris, Kelly and Patrick Smith; her Great Granddaughter: Lily Jean Brunell. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sisters: Dorothy Proctor and Mildred Graback
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 7:00pm to 9:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 11:00am at the Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Spruce Run Cemetery in Lebanon Township.
