Yesterday we all said good-bye to Jess and Lisa. It was a sad, sad day we all will not forget. I will always remember Jess and his blue, blue eyes that laughed and lit up my soul. I see those eyes in Devon. My heart felt prayers go to the entire family for this unexplainable loss. God has a plan and perhaps in time we will all know the reason but on this day may the love everyone has for them lift your grief.

Jess, you were the sweetest little boy, a good kid and a great man. When I picture you, I see your big blue eyes, and a grin from ear to ear. You always had a great big smile and a warm hug whenever we saw each other, which was never often enough. Your love for each other and for your children, as well as your friends and family was something we could feel and see the minute you were in our presence. I know God must have needed you and Lisa to take you so young. You blessed so many!! I just know you are in heaven with Grandma. I cannot believe it. I have comfort in knowing you were together doing something you loved, and knowing that your children will be cared for by a most loving family. I'll never forget you earning your eagle scout award and how proud we all were of you!! I know now that we not only have Grandma watching over us, but you and Lisa are there right beside her waiting for us to join you someday.
May God keep you in His loving arms for eternity!
Your cousin, Kathleen

As a coworker on Jess' last project, up at Aventis in Swiftwater, PA, I not only enjoyed working with him, but actually looked forward to his visits. His sense of humor and personality, coupled with his intelligence and knowledge of his work, made him a wonderful person to be around. We shared a love of motorcycles, and talked about them. He also did a favor for me by repairing a weld on a souvenir my son had brought home from Europe; I feel I have something that he touched... the entire office/jobsite here has been affected by this loss, we all feel it... my prayers go with him and Lisa, and of course their children.

You never said I'm leaving
You never said good-bye
You were gone before we knew it,
And only God knows why
A million times we needed you,
A million times we cried
If love alone could have saved you,
You never would have died
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we love you still
In our hearts you hold a place,
That none could ever fill
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you didn't go alone
For part of us went with you,
The day God took you home.
