Obituary of Helen A. Bodnar

Helen A. Bodnar, age 94, of Clinton Township, NJ died Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Rolling Hills Care Center. Helen was born December 15, 1919 in Newark, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Francis and the late Helen Haitmanek. She was a long time resident of Union, NJ and Manchester, NJ before moving to Clinton Twp., NJ a short time ago. Helen was a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was very involved in the Holy Spirit Church in Union, NJ where she was a Eucharistic minister for many years. Helen enjoyed gardening, the beach and nature. She is survived by her sons: Peter Bodnar & his wife, Jean of Florida and James F. Bodnar & his wife, Jane of Hampton, NJ and her cherished granddaughter, Erin McGinn & her husband, Nic of Rhode Island. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Stephen in 2009, her brothers, Lou and Joe and her sister, Ceil. Helen's Life Celebration will include visitation on Wednesday, January 22nd from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a funeral mass on Thursday, January 23rd at 10:00 am at St. Ann's RC Church,30 Main St., Hampton, NJ. The interment will immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.
