Fred was our daughter Laura's father-in-law. He was such a sweet, caring man. We loved spending time with him when we would visit NJ. He was a man of generous spirit. He always invited us in to his home and would have a big feast of a dinner, but his favorite was offering an array of hearty appetizers with drinks! We shared a love of our grandsons, Wade and Ian Carlson. He was crazy about them and loved going to their baseball and basketball games. He was so proud of them and had a very close, special bond with them. I loved seeing the "Carlson Men" spend happy times together - Fred, Craig, Curt, Wade and Ian! There was a special connection among them all. We will miss Fred and his quiet, loving manner. We so enjoyed being with him and feeling so welcome in his home. Fred, we'll always remember your game of hiding the Grinch at Christmas time - so much fun for our mutual grandsons and so much laughter! We love ❤️ you!
