Obituary of Charles Martini

CHARLES MARTINI JR. beloved partner, father and grandfather passed away at the Hunterdon Medical Center on Thursday June 13 2019. Charles was born December 1, 1940 to parents the late Charles Sr. and the late Irene Martini. His sisters Teri and Carol also predeceased him. Charles is lovingly remembered by his best friend and long-term partner, Susan Tortorella and his children, Wendy Martini-Towle and Michael Martini. Charles's favorite story was Peter Pan and he therefore named his children after the characters in the story. Charles was also a grandfather to 6 beautiful grandchildren, Taylor, Sean, Stephanie, Angela, Christina and Nicholas and loving 'step father' to Robert Januska. Charles was an avid animal lover and his beloved cat, Charlie's Angel, will miss sitting on her daddy's lap and getting scratches. His horse Smokey will miss getting his carrots from his Charles. Charles graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a degree in business and worked in the insurance industry. He loved spending time at the beach and the race track. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday June 18, 2019 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and again from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Martin Funeral Home 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809. Cremation will be held privately after the visiting. In lieu of flowers and other acts of kindness, donations in memory of Charles may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America 322 Eighth Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001
