Obituary of Leo Augustynowicz
Leo Augustynowicz, 98, of Asbury, NJ passed away April 4, 2019, at Rolling Hills Care Center, where he resided since December 2015. He was born November 23, 1920 in Passaic, NJ to Joseph and Josephine (Leszcynski) Augustynowicz. He married Clementine Miklus on January 31, 1942.
He graduated from Bound Brook High School, proudly served in the US Navy Seabees as a shipfitter second class, from 1942-1945 and was retired from American Cyanamid Calco Chemical Division in Bound Brook, NJ.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Clementine on May 10, 1964 and his son James Leo at age 5 in 1953.
He is survived by three children, John (Rita) Aye of Lowell, AR, Karen Augustynowicz of Asbury, NJ and Joanne (Allan) Kammerer of Marseilles, IL, one granddaughter Lindsay (Joel) Scott and 2 great-grandchildren, Nathan Scott and Maggie Scott, all of Oklahoma City, OK.
Relatives and friends may gather on Tuesday, April 9 from 10:00 am until the start of the service at 12:00 pm at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31,Clinton, NJ 08809. Burial with military honors will follow at the Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway NJ.
