My husband lived next door to Susan and her family since 1990 and I married him in 1998, so I then became the Voit's neighbor and friend too. We all spent so many nights together on their back deck (and sometimes ours) talking, joking around, and having drinks and dinner. Susan and her family always made us feel welcome and were so much fun to be with. Susan was a big-hearted person and a real presence. She opened her beautiful home to everyone. My husband and I moved away a few years ago, but each time both of us ,or one of us was in town, we always enjoyed the Voit's warm hospitality over a delicious meal. Our hearts go out to Maureen, Melanie, Meghan, and the rest of the family.
So Susan, thanks for the wonderful, festive memories. We will always think of you, especially when we are in the comforting presence of good friends, Nothing will be the same without you. We'll miss you.
