Joan’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5:28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope.

An extraordinary role model as a Mother, a woman, a wife, neighbor and friend. She opened her home to all and made you so welcome, you didn’t want to leave. She loved her piano, her water colors and music so much. Sharing memories of Hastings on Hudson and Centenary while sipping demitasse. Always taking time to help anyone. Teaching us how to sew on her machine and shopping for fabric was magical. Best memory was Joan taking me for my drivers license test in her Reliant K car. Even making room for friends at Big Shanty. A lover of life who touched so many. Joan had such a great and wonderful impact on all of us. The Donohues and Hoopers have such special connections.
So very sorry for your loss Mr Hooper. We knew Mrs H from growing up with your kids and living in Clinton, wonderful woman!!! Glad she will now be able to spend time with Amy and Will.
Frank,
Words are inadequate, Joan was your rock and you were hers. I am so sorry for your loss.
She is in a better place (although, it is tough to beat Clinton!) and probably keeping everyone there in line!
Theory is, everyone in Heaven in 30. I hope so, because what I know now at 60 will come in handy up there. And...I hear the Mummers play EVERY DAY!!!!!
Love you and again, so sorry.
