Age 67 – Clinton
Bob Crans, devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, passed away suddenly on October 24, 2015, surrounded by his family. He was born in Morristown, NJ, on October 17, 1948, to the late A. Marie (Lusardi) Crans.
He was Claims Manager for All State Insurance and retired in 2010 after 30 years, and spent his retirement with his wife, Virginia (“Ginny”) (nee Keeley), between their homes in NJ and Ocean City, MD.
His passion for music started as a snare drummer with the Harmony Senior Drum Corps in 1962 and continued as drummer for “Storm” 1973-1977. He continued playing recreationally up until his death.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Christopher, and his wife, Shannon, Michael, and his wife, Trisha, his grandchildren, Michael and Ella, his brother, John, and his wife, Wendy, and his nieces Tracy Paulozzo and Cyndi Conte.
Visitation will be Friday, October 30, 2015 from 4-7 pm, at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Rte. 31, Clinton, NJ (www.martinfh.com). Bob’s life will be celebrated with a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, October 31, 2015, at 10 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Church, 316 Old Allerton Rd., Annandale, NJ. Interment will be private. Memorials in Bob’s name can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital to enable Leukemia research, c/o Memorial and Honor Gifts, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
