Obituary of Joan Judith Vitale

Union Township (Hunterdon) — Joan J. Vitale (Keller) died peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013 at home. She was 82. A daughter of Heinrich and Antoinette Keller, Joan was born in Brooklyn and lived in Clifton and Garfield before moving to Union Township (Hunterdon) in 1999. She was a Customer Service Rep who worked for Roman Mail Order, Barnes & Noble and Coach Leatherwear. Joan retired in 1996. Joan enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved reading and traveling to her extended family in Diepoldsau, Switzerland. She is survived by her beloved husband, Anthony Vitale Jr. of Union Township; a son, Anthony Vitale III and wife, Bernadette Vitale ofBiloxi, MS; a daughter, Katharine A. Lawrence and husband, Thomas of Union Township; and five grandsons, Anthony IV, Dominick, Thomas, Matthew and Joseph. A mass was held on Monday, September 2 at St. Catherine of Siena RC Church.
