As a scout that worked under/with him at Rock Hill Scout Reservation, I can say that Arthur had a profound effect on my life. He was always well-spoken and even-handed when carrying out his responsibilities as one of the heads of camp. He did his job but he had fun with all of us both young and old. I was very saddened to hear of his passing and hope that his family is doing well.
I met Art thru Scouting many years ago, and worked with him on scout training and other scout projects. he is a member of my Wood Badge patrol the Owls from our course in 1985. his art background was helpful in many areas. he was always a gentleman and
set a good example for others.

The man was not only all that was in his obituary, but he was also an excellent cook (he taught me how to cook) as well as actor on stage and in radio.
