Obituary of Doris Conrad

Doris Conrad, age 92, of Scotch Plains, NJ died Monday, March 19, 2012 at the Ashbrook Nursing Home in Scotch Plains, NJ. Doris was born September 25, 1919 in Elizabeth, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Louis and the late Edith (Warren) Conrad. She was a longtime resident of Union Township, NJ. Doris was employed by Weston Instruments in Newark, NJ for many years before retiring. Doris was an avid reader and always enjoyed a good mystery or fiction. The love of her life was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her loving son, Fred Gunter of Lake Worth, Fla., her beloved niece, Linda Constanza of Edison, NJ, her cherished granddaughters; Debbie Bennett & her husband, Richard of Sanibel Island, Fla. and Dawn Simons of Whitehouse Station, NJ. Additional survivors include her six great-grandchildren; Riley & Megan Simons, Juliann, Caitlin, Joseph & Olivia Alicino and her great-great granddaughter, Amelia Alicino. Entombment services were conducted privately at Graceland Memorial Park & Mausoleum in Kenilworth, NJ. All services were entrusted to the Martin Funeral Home of Clinton, NJ.
