I am so sorry to have heard of Don's passing. We worked together at AWM and I always enjoyed our conversations. I know Don cared deeply about his family and his children meant the world to him. He will be sorely missed.
I will always remember the good times on Riverwood ave with Don since we were neighbors growing up in Bedminster. The entire Lucas family has you and your family in our prayers.
My sincerest condolenses to Don's family. I just found out of his passing yesterday and am deeply saddened. I worked closely with Don for a short time at Maple Construction Company and had much respect for his intelligence and integrity. My thoughts and prayers go to his family at this most difficult time.
I worked with Don on a recent project. He helped me finish out a problem project here at Layne. I had worked with Don years ago when we were both at Hydor Group. When he came back to Layne and spent time in the office between projects, he and I would go to lunch together and talk about our families. We compaired our new cars which was quite a range since he had a new jeep and I bought a Prius. It was fun. I will miss him.

Don was my best friend. I remember him and the family since 1967 when I was hired by father William Pearson. We always stayed in touch and many of those years we worked together.
Don was a sincere man and thoughtful co-worker. Since he had to call the office daily (or more), I'd call him "my favorite pest". We'd have a laugh every day, and will always think of him in those happy moments of lightness during stressful times.
He was a real 'Mensch' - a true human being who helped untold number of people, body and soul.
