Obituary of Irene D. Pasternak

Irene D. Pasternak, age 70, of Franklin Township, NJ died Friday, January 4, 2013 at home. Ms. Pasternak was born March 27, 1942 in Rochester, Pa. She was the daughter of the late Walter and the late Loretta (Olanowski) Donovan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Pasternak. She was a longtime resident of Franklin Twp., NJ who enjoyed rug hooking and peaceful walks around the scenic Round Valley Reservoir. Irene received her Bachelor's of Science as well as her Master's degree in nursing from Seton Hall University. She was a parishioner at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Pittstown, NJ. Irene was a registered nurse and a licensed nursing home administrator. She worked for several nursing facilities in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey throughout her career. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Lorie Bird & her husband, Chris and her cherished grandchildren, Jackson, Clayton, Aaralyn & Teagan. Irene's Life Celebration will include a funeral mass on Thursday, January 10th at 1:00 pm at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 2 White Bridge Road, Pittstown, NJ. Family & friends are invited to meet directly at the church. The interment will immediately follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery in Quakertown, NJ (Franklin Twp.)
