Irene,
I have been calling you and did not understand why you did not call me back. I just checked the paper and found this. You were a very special person, and I am honored that I was able to volunteer at Mary's Place and meet you. You were very special, and I really enjoyed talking to you on the phone and our special day we spent together, going out to lunch and shoe shopping. I also think of you every morning when I put on my makeup and I use the Burts Bee repairing serum on my face. You told me about that, because I was admiring your beautiful skin. I will miss you. I am glad I had the pleasure of meeting you
So sorry to hear about Irene's passing I hope she is at peace now. I have nice memories of helping her out walks our talks she was a great listener. So sorry that I was not at her services unfortunately I heard about it after the fact. She adored her grandchildren with all her heart. Cherish the memories. So sorry Lori to you and your family during this difficult time.
Irene was a member of our Amongst Women prayer group. It was a pleasure to get to know Irene and to pray with and for her as well. Meeting Irene has enriched my life and I am thankful.
Another ASA classmate of Irene's, Janet Gage Vigorito, requested me to express her sincere condolences to the family. She is a resident of Staten Island, NY, and unable to write this herself because, due to superstprm Sandy, she is still without internet service. Janet was in contact with Irene on many occasions during her illness and I know she must have been a great comfort to her.
We were classmates together at the Academy of St. Aloysius, and although I didn't know Irene well, I remember her as a kind and thoughtful person with a lovely smile. I communicated with her during her illness on occasion and know how hard she fought it. I know her family will miss her terribly as well as her ASA sisters.
I knew Irene through the HCRAG and missed her very much after she was unable to attend meetings. I knew Irene to be a sweet, thoughtful, caring person and my heart cries on her passing. She will be in all our prayers.
I grew up knowing Irene who was my very close uncle's niece. I will always remember her as a gentle soul, kind and caring, with a brilliant mind. I always liked her and admired her achievements and her character. My children got to know Irene and liked her so much. She was a very special person and I know she is with God and at peace now and forever. Sending my deep sympathy to her family. Joanne Wozniacki

Well, dear heart, your road has been a bumpy journey, and I am happy to have been apart of it. I will treasure those fond memories of walking along Round Valley and Spruce Run, teaching me rug hooking, playing canasta, shopping, and just plain having a cup of coffee together. Lori and Chris, I am truly sorry for your loss. She will be missed.
