Obituary of Rosemary Corrine (Van Liew) Cassels

Rosemary Corrine (Van Liew) Cassels, age 63, of Pocono Lake, PA passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, PA. She was born January 29, 1950 in Elizabeth, NJ and was the daughter of the late William and Hazel(Barto) Van Liew. Rosemary taught elementary school at Good Shepherd Christian Academy in Washington, NJ for many years. She also was an author and illustrator of children's books. She loved art, music, and outdoor activities. She was a member of the Kutztown Community Choir for 6 years and attended Pocono Lake Wesleyan Church. She was a wonderful wife and mother. She loved her family nd her Lord. Rosemary is survived by her loving husband of 44 years Wayne A Cassels; her three children, Brian Cassels and his wife Kim of NV, Aaron Cassels of PA, and Corrine Cassels-Lies and her husband Chris of IL; her grandson, Shane Hunter Lies; and two sisters, Lenore Burdick, and Lorraine Lenkevich. She was predeceased by her sisters, Joy and Loretta and her brothers, William, Harry and Leonard. Rosemary's Celebration of Life will include a visitation on Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There funeral service will be held at 7:00pm Thursday evening at the funeral home. The interment will be held privately by the family at a later date.
